I want to take this time to thank the many Polynesian cultures in Hawaii for welcoming me, befriending me, accepting me as a member of their family and allowing me to live among them for nearly 20 years. The islands of the Pacific have belonged to them for centuries, and it is their cultures that beckon visitors from all over the world. For nearly 20 years, I have been allowed to live here and befriend them, marry into their culture and make these islands an intimate part of my life.
My photography reflects this, and I thank them for every opportunity they have given me to broaden my mind and expand my ideas about life. These ideas are reflected in my art. Aloha is not just a word or idea. It is a value system that was taught to these people many centuries ago; and no matter what modern changes are made to their home, these values are still inherently a part of their way of life and how they deal with others. It is my deep understanding of Aloha that makes me a photographer that stands out above others. I do not rush my clients. I am there for you. I treat you as if you are my own family, so that you can relax and enjoy your special day or photo session with me in a way that reflects that you are now in Hawaii and things are different here.
I try to reflect the most current trends in photography and stay abreast of all the most cutting edge ideas that are out there, so that your photos are timely and current. I also have the ability to set up a photo in a way that is truly Polynesian and many of my photos reflect that hint of the past and the romanticism of these islands. When we are done, you will have a mix of posed, traditional photos, and non-posed, photojournalism style photography that has captured your special day or photo session in Hawaii.
